Areas we represent
include character-driven upmarket fiction, plot-driven
commercial fiction (mystery, thriller, suspense, and chick lit
to name a few) and narrative nonfiction including memoir,
biography, history, science and travel. Most of all, we look for
strong, unique writing with commercial appeal, so feel free to
contact us even if your project falls outside any of these
categories.
We are
currently accepting queries only by email. Due to an
overwhelming number of projects we receive we unfortunately can
only respond to those we're interested in. Please

Synopsis: This is the most important part of the query because
it’s the sales pitch to me and ultimately to an editor. Please
keep it to one-paragraph while including all important details
as well as the ending.

Synopsis: Please keep it to one-paragraph while including all

Outline: Since
most nonfiction is sold before it’s written, we'll need a
chapter-by-chapter outline to go by. This should explain
exactly what you’re expecting to cover in each chapter.

Author Platform:
In today’s publishing world, author platform, or your ability
to promote your book as an expert on the subject, is extremely
important. Please explain why you’re an authority to write on
the subject and if you have any venues for selling your book,
e.g. a weekly column in a national newspaper, your own
syndicated radio program, etc.
